This training will explore Microsoft 365 through hands-on activities that will introduce educators to Office Online, Microsoft Teams, Forms, Sway, OneNote and Class notebook, as well as get a high-level overview of other tools that can enhance a classroom and school environment, such as Assignments in Teams

One-hour online session:
Introduction to Microsoft Teams:
- Demonstrating the key features to get you up and running and collaborating with your colleagues
- An understanding of what Microsoft Teams is and how it can be used in the classroom and school to create a collaborative learning environment
- Setting up Teams and creating channels
- Uploading and creating files and documents
- Introduction to OneNote notebook
- How to create assignments and forms within Teams
Two-hour twilight session:
Introduction to Microsoft 365:
- Outlook - Sending, receiving emails, creating calendar events
- OneDrive - Uploading, creating and sharing files
- Word, Excel, Powerpoint - How to create, edit and collaborate on documents. How the online apps work compared to the installed application
- OneNote - How to create share and organise notes, annotate using ink tools, insert videos and content from the web and organising your notes
- Microsoft Teams - Overview including instant messaging, chat, creating calendar events within Teams and how these sync with Outlook, how to create and add users to Teams, inviting guests and how to collaborate with others on documents
- Sway - Overview of what Sway is, and and how to create and share your first Sway
- Forms - Overview of Forms and Quizzes and how it interacts with Teams and other applications and how to share your created Forms and quizzes with others
Half-day session
Hands-on session delving into Microsoft 365. This session covers everything in the two-hour "Introduction to Microsoft 365" training plus:
- Microsoft 365 and Accessibility - How Microsoft have integrated accessibility and highlight inclusive features that assist all learners in reading, writing, math and communication. Covering Powerpoint, Forms and Sway
- OneNote Classbook - Deep dive into OneNote and how this can be used in the classroom with students alongside Assignments
- Microsoft Teams - Demonstrating key features, creating Teams and channels, how it's used in the Classroom and integrates with OneNote, Forms, Assignments and other applications.
Full-day Session
Covering each Microsoft 365 application in detail, with a view to each participant becoming a certified Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE).
